The tag line of the United Methodist Church's "Igniting Ministry" program is "Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors." We live that here at Winthrop United Methodist Church.

We are easy to find in downtown Winthrop, ME. One worship service is held on Sunday mornings during the summer. Handicapped access is provided to all church facilities. A nursery with a paid staff is available at no charge for children from infants through pre-school age, and supervised "Ark-tivities" is available for kindergartners through third graders following a "time for children" during each the Sunday morning worship service. Join us for coffee and fellowship after each of the services.

A very active Christian Education program is available for adults as well as children at Winthrop United Methodist Church. The youth of the Winthrop United Methodist Church are active in the life of the church and have a full slate of programs which they organize and through which they contribute to the community and beyond - and they have a lot of fun doing it. Sunday school for children is not scheduled during the summer.
