Winthrop area boasts over 10 lakes and ponds and is ideally
located about 1-½ hours from the ocean, the mountains,
and Portland. A quiet residential area, convenient to I-95
experiences a doubling of its population during the summer
months, is a very welcoming area providing a quality of
life so difficult to find in today's hurried world.
Excellent theaters (our own Performing arts center plus
Maine Music Theater and Theatre in Monmouth), museums, hiking
trails, variety of fresh and salt water activities, excellent
colleges (Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, State University), State
Capitol, historic forts, the tidal Kennebec river, two excellent
medical facilities and more are all within a short drive
of these relaxed communities.

From Augusta: Take U.S. 202 west approximately
